# Overview

Clankermon is a Meta Trading Game built on Base, Farcaster & Clanker.

## What is a Meta Trading Game?

Clankermon is combining classic creature-collect trading game mechanics with live market dynamics to create a fun playful social gaming experience that gives players exposure to assets with potential upside, incentivizing onchain trading and education with tangible game rewards. <br>

Trading & other defi related activity have small fees, which contribute to the game rewards pool and certain activities will have other ingame benefits.

Everything in the clankermon universe revolves around the native token $CLANKERMON.\
It is required for minting, reviving & will be the currency of exchange in future trading and marketplace features.\

Players can compete for these rewards by completing quests, battling clankermon or taking their clankermon into dungeons - each of these will carry risk, clankermon can die and revive penalities will increase on subsequent deaths, so play wisely.

We are excited about the "Meta Trading" and live market related mechanics as they add new variables to a classic format, new tokens become new mons, legendary mons rise and fall with market cycles adding a layer of unpredictability that constantly feed into the play meta.&#x20;

While we haven't dialed in the specifics yet, ideas we are playing with involve:

* Reveal rate variance - larger market caps have smaller drop rates
* Real time buffs & Nerfs - $BANKR is pumping? Bankr mons have boosted stats

## Building in Public

Most of our current ideas are "strong opinions loosely held" - we are building everthing in real time & building the clankermon universe chapter by chapter.
